The coinSight Divergence Index (CDI) and all other information or links within coinSight are provided only for informational purposes.
The CDI is in active development and no history of correlation with asset performance is established.
The intended purpose of the CDI is to identify from a large group of crypto assets which are most 'out-of-place' or 'divergent' in terms of their price ranking in total capitalisation versus their performance in other measures (ie. trading volume, on-chain transaction volume, ranking by top analyists and more).
CDI Values below zero indicate an asset is undervalued/underperforming in price with the CDI number being equal to the estimated maximum multiple of increase from current price (and vice versa for values above zero).
CDI by design is weighted towards assets with lower capitalisations as they have the most room to grow/are the most 'divergent' in price vs. performance ranking. Its also harder for large assets to be 'divergent' because they are more likely to have already undergone price discovery while the CDI seeks to highlight the assets that are most overdue for price discovery.
